Nagaland records 11 more COVID-19 positive cases, 47 recoveries

Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said the new cases include six from Kohima, four from Tuensang, and one from Dimapur.

Nagaland on Monday reported 11 new COVID-19 cases, taking the state's tally to 5,957, official sources said.

Taking to Twitter, Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said the new cases include six from Kohima, four from Tuensang, and one from Dimapur. A total of 47 more COVID-19 patients, 45 from Kohima and two from Dimapur, recovered from the infection on Monday, Phom said in a tweet.

"Update! State reports 11 new +ve cases of COVID-19. 6 in Kohima, 4 in Tuensang and 1 in Dimapur. Also 47 COVID-19 patients have been recovered. 45 from Kohima and 2 from Dimapur," the health minister tweeted on Tuesday evening.

While the total number of active cases in the state stands at 5,910, the total recovery tally stands at 4,801.

On Sunday, the state reported 84 COVID-19 positive cases, including 71 from Dimapur, nine from Kohima, three from Longleng and one from Mon.

Nagaland has so far reported 11 COVID-19 related deaths while 40 COVID-19 patients have migrated.
