Nagaland receives 1,43,000 Covaxin doses for age-group 15-18 years

Vaccination for age-group 15-18 years will cover Dimapur and Kohima in the first phase, official sources said.

Nagaland is set to join the rest of the country in the vaccination for the age group 15-18 years on Monday. A total of 1,43,000 doses of Covaxin reached the state on Sunday, official sources said.

According to an official of the Health department, the vaccination for this age group of children will cover Dimapur and Kohima in the first phase. The official requested all eligible children to avail the vaccine.

Registration can be done either online or on the site.

Earlier, the Union Health and Family Welfare notified that “registration is open for those born in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and that Covaxin to be the only available option.

All established protocols regarding vaccination are to be followed for the 15-18 years age group. Beneficiaries are to wait for half-an-hour when they will be monitored for AEFI and will be eligible for the second dose only after 28 days.
