Nagaland on Thursday reported 37 new COVID-19 positive cases while two more persons died due to the infection, taking the death toll to 645, according to the latest updates by the state health department.
"#COVID19 Status: 23rd September, 2021: Fresh Positive: 37, Recoveries: 22, Deaths: 2," the department of Health and Family Welfare, Nagaland posted on Twitter.
As per the state health department, Dimapur reported 18 new COVID-19 positive cases, 10 new cases were from Kohima, three from Mokokchung, two from Tuensang and one each from Kiphire, Longleng, Phek and Wokha.
With these new positive cases, the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nagaland reached 31,027, including 467 active cases and 965 migrated cases.
The state also recorded 22 recoveries, including 16 from Dimapur, three from Kohima and one each from Mokokchung, Phek and Tuensang. The cumulative number of recovered cases in the state is 28,935 as of Thursday.
The two deaths reported in the state on Thursday were from Dimapur. A total of 15 persons have so far died in Nagaland. However their deaths were not due to COVID-19, according to the bulletin.
