Nagaland: COVID-19 positive cases surge to 156

Of the new cases, six cases were reported from Dimapur quarantine centre, two from Kohima quarantine centre and one from Peren quarantine centre, Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said.

The total number of COVID-19 positive cases in Nagaland increased to 156 as nine more persons tested positive for the virus, official sources said on Friday.

Taking to Twitter, Nagaland stated Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said that the new cases were among the 251 samples tested at Naga Hospital Authority, Kohima.

Of the new cases, six cases were reported from Dimapur quarantine centre, two from Kohima quarantine centre and one from Peren quarantine centre, Phom said.

With the detection of new COVID-19 cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 126.

So far, 30 patients have recovered from the disease, the minister said in his tweet.

Nagaland is yet to register COVID-19 death.

On Thursday, 26 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Nagaland, taking the total cases in the state to 147.
