COVID-19 caseload in Nagaland on Thursday surged to 12,035 after 32 more persons tested positive for the infection, while the number of recovered cases rose to 11,685 with 11 new recoveries, state Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said.
Taking to Twitter, the health minister said the new positive cases included 28 from Kohima, three from Dimapur, and one from Mokokchung.
Among the new recoveries, nine are in Kohima and one each in Dimapur and Makokchung. With the new recoveries, the number of active cases stood at 124, as per the latest update by the health minister.
"Update! 32 positive cases of #COVID-19 have been detected today. Kohima- 28, Dimapur- 3, Mokokchung- 1. Also 11 +ve patients have recovered. Kohima - 9, Dimapur- Mokokchung- 1 each. Total +ve cases- 12035 Recovered- 11685 Active Cases- 124," the health minister tweeted.
Nagaland has so far recorded 76 COVID-19 related deaths of which 10 fatalities are not due to COVID and 140 cases have migrated to other states, according to the state health department.
