Mizoram's COVID-19 active caseload surges to 28

Five more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Mizoram in a span of 24 hours.

The number of COVID-19 active cases in Mizoram surged to 28 with five new positive cases, according to the state Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR).

The cumulative number of COVID-19 positive cases in the state mounted to 4,473, including 4,434 recovered cases and 11 deaths, the DIPR posted on Twitter.

As per the updates by the DIPR, Aizawl has the maximum number of active cases with 26, followed by Siaha and Hnahthial districts with one case each.

No new positive cases were recorded in other eight districts after the recovery of the active cases, it added.
