Meghalaya reports 76 new COVID-19 cases

A total of 85,234 COVID-19 cases have so far been detected in Meghalaya.

Meghalaya on Sunday recorded 76 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total active cases to 394.

Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said 66 cases were detected from East Khasi Hills district, five West Garo Hills, three from Ri Bhoi and one each from East Garo Hills and East Jaintia Hills.

Dr War also informed that 10 persons have recovered from the viral infection in East Khasi Hills.

A total of 85,234 COVID-19 cases have so far been detected in the state out of which 394 are active cases, 83,355 recovered while there have been 1,485 deaths.

East Khasi Hills has the highest number of COVID-19 cases with 321 followed by West Garo Hills with 45, Ri Bhoi with 12, West Jaintia Hills with seven, South West Khasi Hills with three, East Jaintia Hills with three and one each from North Garo Hills, West Khasi Hills and East Garo Hills.
