Meghalaya reports 211 new COVID-19 cases

A total of 86,358 COVID-19 cases have been detected in the state out of which 1,128 are active cases and 83,740 recovered.

Meghalaya on Sunday recorded 211 new COVID-19 cases today, taking the total active cases of the disease in the state to 1,128.

Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said 163 cases were detected from East Khasi Hills district, 18 West Garo Hills district, 14 East Jaintia Hills district, 5 West Jaintia Hills district, 4 Ri Bhoi district, 3 West Khasi Hills district, 2 North Garo Hills district, 1 East Garo Hills district and 1 South West Garo Hills district.

Dr War also informed that 74 persons have recovered from the viral infection of which 59 are from East Khasi Hills, 12 West Garo Hills, 2 Ri Bhoi and 1 West Jaintia Hills.

So far, a total of 86,358 COVID-19 cases have been detected in the state out of which 1128 are active cases, 83,740 recovered while there have been 1,490 deaths.

East Khasi Hills has the highest number of COVID-19 cases with 886 followed by West Garo Hills 95, Ri Bhoi 63,  East Jaintia Hills 24, West Jaintia Hills 21, West Khasi Hills 16, South West Khasi Hills 9,  South West Garo Hills 4, North Garo Hills 4, South Garo Hills 3 and East Garo Hills 3.
