With the aim to vaccinate all the people residing within Thongju Assembly constituency, mass COVID-19 vaccination camps were organised in different locations of the constituency under the supervision of Works Minister Th Biswajit with support from Imphal East district administration and local clubs.
Altogether, 267 individuals of the constituency were vaccinated on Wednesday during a mass vaccination programme held in different locations of the constituency. On Tueday, 306 individuals were administered the vaccine. The vaccination sites were also visited by Biswajit, who is also the MLA of the Thongju Assembly constituency.
The minister and his wife Th ongbi Junreiwon also donated handlooms to two different individuals of Bashikhong Wangkhei Loumanbi, Imphal East considering the unemployment issue faced mostly by the women during the Covid pandemic.
Meanwhile, social worker Thongam Bedajit in collaboration with the Thongju Kendra Voluntary Workers' COVID-19 Relief Committee have donated oximeters to the two Covid care centres which were opened in the Thongju Assembly constituency and to those home isolation patients.
