Mass COVID-19 testing in Imphal West from June 1 to 15

The testing is scheduled to be conducted at Kumari High School (Hiyangthang); Mutum Phibou UPS (Mutum Phibou); Manipur university; Langthabal Khoupum (Langthabal Khoupum community hall), among others.

The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West district on Monday announced that the aggressive mass COVID-19 testing in the district  will begin from June 1 to 15 with an aim to tackle and contain the spread of COVID-19 infection in the state.

The testing is scheduled to be conducted at Kumari High School (Hiyangthang); Mutum Phibou UPS (Mutum Phibou); Manipur university; Langthabal Khoupum (Langthabal Khoupum community hall); Ibudhou Pakhangba community hall (konthoujam Makha Leikai and Thangtek Yangoi Ningthou community hall (Thangtek), the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West district stated in a release signed by deputy commissioner, Imphal West Th Kirankumar.

The mass testing is also scheduled at Moidangpok Awang community hall (Moidangpok); Awang Leikai community hall (Patsoi Part II); Patsoi part III community hall (Patsoi part III); Hindi secondary school (Kanglatombi); Khomdram Selungba community hall (Thangmeiband); TG Higher secondary school and Airport, it stated.

Local clubs are to assist the mass testing in the said localities and pradhan concerned will assist the testing for Kanglatombi, it mentioned. Other selected vaccination sites will be decided in consultation with chief medical officer Imphal west, and superintendent of Imphal west will be consulted for mobile testing of curfew violators, it added.
