Manipur's single-day COVID-19 positive case drops to one, no deaths

Manipur's COVID-19 confirmed tally reached 1,37,039, while the death toll remained 2,120 as of Friday, according to a release issued by State COVID-19 Common Control Room.

Manipur on Friday reported only four COVID-19 positive cases and no fatalities. Consequently, the state's positivity rate dropped to 0.7 per cent from 0.8 per cent on Thursday, according to the latest update by the state health department.

The state's COVID-19 confirmed tally reached 1,37,039, while the death toll remained 2,120 as of Friday, according to a release issued by State COVID-19 Common Control Room.

As per the release, two new COVID-19 cases were reported from Imphal West and another two from Kakching.

The state also recorded nine new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,34,816. The recovery rate moved up to 98.38 per cent. Manipur now has 103 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 236 D-type oxygen cylinders and 111 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 27,65,368 (first dose: 15,26,462 second dose: 11,74,568 precautionary dose: 64,338).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.39 per cent and for the second dose is 50.17 per cent, it mentioned.
