Manipur's daily COVID-19 tally drops to 11

There are 198 COVID-19 active cases in Manipur as of Friday.

Manipur's daily COVID-19 tally on Friday dropped to 11 with a positivity rate of 0.8 per cent. With the new positive cases, the state's COVID-19 tally reached 1,25,597 while the death toll remained at 1,993 with zero fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department.

According to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room, Imphal West continued to report the highest number of new COVID-19 cases with six cases. Two cases were reported each from Imphal East and Chandel and one from Thoubal.

The state also recorded 127 new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,23,406. The recovery rate is 98.26 per cent. Manipur now has 198 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 260 D-type oxygen cylinders and 80 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 22,57,849 (first dose: 13,08,247 second dose: 9,49,602). The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 55.88 per cent and for the second dose is 40.56 per cent, it mentioned.
