Manipur’s COVID-19 recovery rate improves to 59.65 per cent

As many as 74 COVID-19 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours since Sunday after they were found COVID-19 free on RT PCR test.

Even as the number of COVID-19 positive cases is on the rise, the recovery rate in the state is also improving as the number of recovered cases is nearing 1,000 mark. 
 
As many as 74 COVID-19 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours since Sunday after they were found COVID-19 free on RT PCR test, a state department release stated.
 
The cumulative number of positive cases reached 1,626 on Monday with the detection of 17 fresh cases in the last 24 hours since Sunday, according to a release from COVID-19 Common Control Room,. 
 
With the discharge of 74 people, the numbers of active and recovered cases are 656 and 970 respectively and the recovery rate has improved to 59.65 per cent, it stated.
 
Meanwhile, the 17 new cases included nine from Senapati, five from Imphal East and three from Churachandpur. They will be shifted to Covid Care Facilities and all necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the release added.
