Manipur on Sunday recorded one more COVID-19 fatality, taking the death toll to 2,147, while four new cases pushed the state's tally to 1,39,677, official sources said. The day's positivity rate is 1.1 per cent.
As many as 16,46,537 COVID-19 tests have so far been conducted in the state. A total of 366 samples were tested on Sunday.
One COVID-19 death case was reported from Ukhrul district. The deceased had comorbidities and was not vaccinated, according to a release issued by COVID-19 Common Control Room.
Among the four new cases reported on Sunday, two were from Imphal West district while Churachandpur and Kangpokpi reported one case each. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it stated.
The state also recorded 22 new COVID-19 recoveries, pushing the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,37,466. Consequently, the number of active cases dropped to 64 and the recovery rate is 98.42 per cent, as per the release.
As on August 27, a total of 105 D-type Oxygen cylinders and eight B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur, it added.
Meanwhile, COVID-19 vaccination coverage in the state has reached 31,71,635, including 2,41,277 precaution doses.
