Manipur's COVID-19 caseload on Sunday climbed to 27,155 as 119 more persons, including two Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel, tested COVID-19 positive in a span of 24 hours, the state health department said.
Of the total caseload in the state, 3,074 cases are active while 23,759 patients have recovered from the disease, according to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room.
The new positive cases from the general population are from Imphal West (37), Imphal East (53), Thoubal (3), Bishnupur (15), Tengnoupal (1) Chandel (2), Senapati (1), Churachandpur (3) and Kamjong (2). All are locals without any significant travel history. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it added.
No new COVID-19 fatality was recorded in Manipur on Sunday. The state's death toll stood at 322.
COVID-19 recovery rate in Manipur is 87.49 per cent as 102 patients recovered from the viral infection on Sunday, the release stated.
The state health department further advised those in contact with a COVID-19 positive person to isolate themselves. In case of emergency, one can dial 24x7 Covid Common Control Room Number-1800-345-3818.
