Manipur reports zero single day COVID-19 positive cases

The state's death toll remained unchanged at 2,149 with 712 total deaths reported in Imphal West, highest among all districts, so far.

Manipur reported zero COVID-19 positive cases of the 89 total samples tested for the viral infection on Saturday, and the number of active cases dropped to 29 from 32 on Friday, official sources said.

According to the latest updated data issued by the COVID-19 Common Control Room, a total of 16,59,172 samples have been tested so far of which, 1,39,861 tested positive for COVID-19, with Imphal West reporting the highest caseload at 5,16,849 as on Saturday.

The state's death toll remained unchanged at 2,149 with 712 total deaths reported in Imphal West, highest among all districts, while Pherzawl district reported zero COVID-19 deaths so far. Pherzawl also reported the least number of COVID-19 confirmed caseload of 477 till date. 

The recovery rate stood at 98.44 per cent as three more recoveries were reported on Saturday. The total number of recoveries in the state reached 1,37,687.

Meanwhile, as many as 848 COVID vaccine were administered on October 21. With it, the cumulative COVID-19 vaccine doses administered so far reached 32,51,499. Of it, the first dose totaled 16,46,839, second dose 13,32,143 and precautionary dose reached 2,72,517, according to the State Immunisation Officer.

If you have any flu or flu like symptoms, get tested, the release stated. Follow Covid Appropriate behavior. Continue to wear masks, wash hands frequently and get vaccinated, the release added.
