Manipur reports two new COVID-19 positive cases, zero death

Manipur now has 27 COVID-19 active cases, while the death toll remained 2,120 with no reports of COVID-19 death for the past few weeks.

Manipur on Monday recorded 1.1 per cent positivity rate with two new COVID-19 positive cases, pushing the state's tally to 1,37,212 while the death toll remained 2,120 with zero new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department.

According to a release issued by the State COVID-19 Common Control Room, of the two COVID-19 cases reported on Monday, one case each was reported from Bishnupur and Kangpokpi.

The state also reported two new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,35,065. The recovery rate is 98.44 per cent. Manipur now has 27 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 89 Oxygen Cylinders and three B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 28,27,519 (first dose: 15,53,511 second dose: 11,97,896 precautionary dose: 76,112).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.65 per cent and for the second dose is 51.14 per cent, it mentioned.
