Manipur on Tuesday reported two more COVID-19 deaths and 48 new positive cases, according to the latest official update.
According to a release by the state Health Services, the cumulative number of COVID-19 confirmed caseload climbed to 139181, death toll mounted to 2131 and the active cases rose to 456 as of Tuesday. The recovered cases reached 136594, and the recovery rate is 98.14 per cent.
The new positive cases included 18 from Imphal West, 10 from Imphal East, 14 from Churachandpur, one each from Thoubal, Kakching, Kamjong, Kangpokpi, Ukhrul, and Chandel.
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, it stated.
Meanwhile, a total of 12 D-type oxygen cylinders and 8 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur as of August 1.
The number of beds available at JNIMS is 25 of 38 total beds, while at RIMS, it is 32 of 62 total beds as of Tuesday.
As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 31,09,668 (first dose: 16,15,580, second dose: 12,87,712 and precautionary dose: 2,06,376).
The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 62.21 per cent and for the second dose is 54.01 per cent, it mentioned.
