Manipur reports three new COVID-19 positive cases, positivity rate is 2.8 per cent

Manipur has nine COVID-19 active cases as of Thursday.

Manipur on Thursday recorded three new COVID-19 positive cases, pushing the state's tally to 1,37,230 while the death toll remained at 2,120 with zero new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate is 2.8 per cent.

According to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room, of the three positive cases reported on Thursday, two were reported from Imphal East and one from Bishnupur.

The state reported one new recovery, pushing the number of recovered cases to 1,35,101. The recovery rate is 98.45 per cent. Manipur now has nine COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 149 oxygen cylinders and 18 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 28,64,584 (first dose: 15,61,935 second dose: 12,12,917 precautionary dose: 89,732).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.70 per cent and for the second dose is 51.59 per cent, it mentioned.
