Manipur on Wednesday recorded six new COVID-19 positive cases, pushing the state's tally to 1,37,093 while the death toll remained at 2,120 with zero fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate is 1.1 per cent.
According to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room, of the six COVID-19 cases reported on Wednesday three are reported from Imphal East and one case each from Churachandpur, Imphal West and Kangpokpi.
The state also recorded four new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,34,935. The recovery rate is 98.43 per cent. Manipur now has 38 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.
Meanwhile, a total of 281 oxygen cylinders and 97 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.
As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 27,84,162 (first dose: 15,37,558 second dose: 11,80,952 precautionary dose: 65,652).
The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.51 per cent and for the second dose is 50.45 per cent, it mentioned.
