Manipur on Monday recorded nine new COVID-19 positive cases, pushing the state's tally to 1,25,732 while the death toll mounted to 2,002 with one new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate is 1.2 per cent.
The single COVID-19 fatality recorded on Friday is from Imphal West, the deceased had co-morbidities and was fully vaccinated, according to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room.
As per the release, five new COVID-19 cases were reported from Imphal West, another three cases from Imphal East and one from Ukhrul.
The state also recorded 12 new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,23,552. The recovery rate is 98.27 per cent. Manipur now has 178 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.
Meanwhile, a total of 311 D-type Oxygen Cylinders and 45 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.
As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 22,96,560 (first dose: 13,19,344 second dose: 9,77,216). The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 56.36 per cent and for the second dose is 41.74 per cent, it mentioned.
