Manipur reports four new COVID-19 positive cases

Of the four COVID-19 cases reported on Wednesday, one case each was reported from Imphal West, Imphal East, Tengnoupal and Ukhrul.

Manipur on Wednesday recorded four new COVID-19 positive cases, pushing the state's tally to 1,37,136 while the death toll remained at 2,120 with zero new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate is 1.0 per cent.

According to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room, of the four COVID-19 cases reported on Wednesday, one case each is reported from Imphal West, Imphal East, Tengnoupal and Ukhrul.

The state also recorded six new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,34,972. The recovery rate is 98.42 per cent. Manipur now has 44 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 113 oxygen cylinders and zero B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 27,96,913 (first dose: 15,44,961 second dose: 11,85,105 precautionary dose: 66847).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.56 per cent and for the second dose is 50.62 per cent, it mentioned.
