Manipur on Monday recorded 92 new COVID-19 positive cases, pushing the state's confirmed caseload to 1,35,930, while the death toll mounted to 2,084 with one new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department.
The single COVID-19 fatality recorded on Monday was from Bishnupur. The deceased had co-morbidities and was fully vaccinated, according to a release issued by State COVID-19 Common Control Room.
As per the release, 36 new COVID-19 cases were reported from Imphal West, another 19 cases from Imphal East, nine each from Bishnupur and Thoubal, six from Tamenglong, three from Senapati, two each from Chandel, Churachandpur and Kakching and one each from Kangpokpi, Noney, Tengnoupal and Ukhrul.
Consequently, the positivity rate is 5.7 per cent, the release stated.
The state also recorded 151 new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,31,637. The recovery rate is 96.84 per cent. Manipur now has 2,209 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.
Meanwhile, a total of 302 D-type Oxygen Cylinders and 67 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.
As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine reached 26,31,290 (first dose: 14,85,325 second dose: 10,96,169 precautionary dose: 49,796).
So far, the cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 60.25 per cent and for the second dose is 46.82 per cent, it mentioned.
