Manipur reports 14 new COVID-19 positive cases, no COVID-19 deaths for second day

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered Covid vaccine has reached 27,55,729 (first dose: 15,23,708 second dose: 11,68,527 precautionary dose: 63,494).

Manipur on Tuesday reported 14 new COVID-19 positive cases, while no COVID-19 deaths were reported for the second consecutive day, official sources said.

The new COVID-19 positive cases pushed the state's confirmed tally to 1,37,021, while the death toll remained at 2,118 with zero new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. Consequently, the positivity rate is 1.2 per cent.

According to a release issued by State COVID-19 Common Control Room, four new COVID-19 cases were reported from Imphal West, another three cases from Kakching, two each from Imphal East and Chandel and one each from Churachandpur, Kangpokpi and Ukhrul.

The state also recorded 10 new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,34,789. The recovery rate is 98.37 per cent. Manipur now has 114 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 245 D-type Oxygen Cylinders and 88 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.34 per cent and for the second dose is 49.92 per cent, it mentioned.
