Manipur reports 13 more COVID-19 positive cases, zero death

Manipur now has 182 COVID-19 active cases and a total of 1,23,524.people in the state have recovered from the illness.

Manipur on Saturday recorded 13 new COVID-19 positive cases, pushing the state's COVID-19 confirmed tally to 1,25,706 while the death toll remained at 2,000 with zero new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate is 1.2 per cent.

According to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room, six new cases were reported each from Imphal West and Imphal East and another case was reported from Kakching.

The state also recorded 17 new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,23,524. The recovery rate is 98.26 per cent. Manipur now has 182 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 317 D-type Oxygen Cylinders and 117 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 22,94,136 (first dose: 13,18,739 second dose: 9,75,397).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 56.33 per cent and for the second dose is 41.67 per cent, it mentioned.
