Manipur logs two new COVID-19 recoveries, active caseload drops to three

No new COVID-19 case or death was reported in Manipur on Tuesday.

Manipur on Tuesday reported zero COVID-19 case and death confining the state's tally and death toll at 1,37,241 and 2,120 respectively, according to the latest update by the state health department.

A total of 69 COVID-19 tests were conducted in Manipur on Tuesday, of which all returned negative. Manipur has so far conducted 16,13,381 COVID-19 tests.

Two new COVID-19 recoveries were recorded in the state on Tuesday. The number of recovered cases stood at 1,35,118 and the recovery rate is 98.45 per cent. Manipur now has three COVID-19 active cases, according to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room.

Meanwhile, a total of 106 D-type oxygen cylinders and 24 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur as of June 5.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 29,07,075 (first dose: 15,72,722 second dose: 12,35,687 precautionary dose: 98,666).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.89 per cent and for the second dose is 52.38 per cent, it mentioned.
