Manipur logs two new COVID-19 cases

Manipur's COVID-19 tally reached 1,37,238 while the death toll remained at 2,120.

Manipur on Tuesday recorded two new COVID-19 cases, while no COVID-19 related was reported in the state, according to the latest update by the state health department. The day's positivty rate is 1.7 per cent. 

With the two new COVID-19 cases, the state's tally reached 1,37,238 while the death toll remained at 2,120.

Manipur has so far conducted a total of 16,12,918 COVID-19 tests, including 118 tests conducted in the last 24 hours. 

The two new COVID-19 cases reported on Tuesday were from Imphal East and Imphal West respectively. 

According to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room, the state reported zero new recovery, confining the number of recovered cases at 1,35,110. The recovery rate is 98.45 per cent. Manipur now has eight COVID-19 active cases.

Meanwhile, a total of 100 oxygen cylinders and six B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur as of May 30.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 28,98,282 (first dose: 15,69,776 second dose: 12,31,322 precautionary dose: 97,184).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.87 per cent and for the second dose is 52.24 per cent, it mentioned.
