Manipur logs two more COVID-19 cases, confirmed caseload surges to 1,39,833

No new cases of COVID-19 deaths were reported in the state on Wednesday and the death toll remained 2,149.

Manipur on Wednesday reported two new COVID-19 positive cases, taking the state's tally to 1,39,833, official sources said. The daily positivity rate was recorded at 0.9 per cent.

On Wednesday, a total of 233 samples were tested for COVID-19, of which two were found COVID-19 positive. Manipur has so far conducted 16,57,839 COVID-19 tests.

As per the sources, the two new COVID-19 cases were reported from Imphal West and Imphal East respectively. 

No new cases of COVID-19 deaths were reported in the state on Wednesday and the death toll remained 2,149.

According to a release issued by COVID-19 Common Control Room, the number of active COVID-19 cases in the state stood at 12 as six persons were discharged on Wednesday.

The number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered on October 11 was 971. The cumulative doses administered so far is 32,41,4177. Of it, the first dose totals 16,45,229, second dose 13,29,023 and precautionary dose 2,69,925.
