Manipur logs one new COVID-19 cases, tally at 1,37,241

The new COVID-19 cases reported in Manipur on Thursday was from Imphal West.

One more person from Imphal West tested positive for COVID-19, taking Manipur's COVID-19 tally to 1,37,241. However, no COVID-19 related death was reported in the state on Thursday. The day's positivity rate is 1.1 per cent, according to the latest update by the state health department.

Imphal West district has so far reported 48,753 COVID-19 cases while 704 COVID-19 patients have died due to the viral infection. 

A total of 93 COVID-19 tests were conducted in Manipur on Thursday, of which one positive case was detected. Manipur has so far conducted 16,13,089 COVID-19 tests.

The state's COVID-19 death toll remained 2,120.

According to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room, the state reported zero new recovery, confining the number of recovered cases at 1,35,111. The recovery rate is 98.45 per cent. Manipur now has 10 COVID-19 active cases.

Meanwhile, a total of 353 oxygen cylinders and 21 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur as of June 1.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 29,02,315 (first dose: 15,71,036 second dose: 12,33,322 precautionary dose: 97,957).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.89 per cent and for the second dose is 52.31 per cent, it mentioned.
