Manipur logs 23 new COVID-19 cases, active caseload surges to 130
According to the latest update by the state health department, a total of 307 COVID-19 tests were conducted in Manipur on Saturday. Manipur has so far conducted 16,16,427 COVID-19 tests.

Manipur on Saturday reported 23 new COVID-19 positive cases and zero death cases, pushing the state's total positive cases to 1,37,398 and confining the death toll at 2,120.
Of the 22 positive cases, nine were reported from Imphal West, six from Imphal East, three from Churachandpur, two from Bishnupur and one each from Kakching, Ukhrul and Tamenglong. The positivity rate is 7.5 per cent.

The state also recorded 11 new COVID-19 recoveries increasing the number of recovered cases to 1,35,162 and the recovery rate is 98.36 per cent. Manipur now has 130 COVID-19 active cases, according to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room.
Meanwhile, a total of 82 oxygen cylinders and three B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur as of July 8.
As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 29,83,805 (first dose: 15,97,930 second dose: 12,66,230 and precautionary dose: 1,19,645).
The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 62.1 per cent and for the second dose is 53.37 per cent, it mentioned.
