Manipur's COVID-19 tally rose 1,39,3654 with the addition of 15 new positive cases on Thursday, while the death toll remained 2,146 with no new cases of deaths in the last 24 hours. The state's positivity rate stood at 3.2 per cent, official sources said on Thursday.
Of the new positive cases, Churachandpur district reported eight cases, while three cases were from Imphal East, two from Imphal West and one case each was reported from Bishnupur and Senapati, acording to a release issued by the state COVID-19 Common Control Room.
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing were taken up, a release stated.
So far, as many as 16,45,298 samples have been tested for COVID-19 in the state. A total of 464 samples were tested on Thursday.
The state also recorded nine new COVID-19 recoveries, pushing the cuulative number of recovered cases to 1,37,418. Consequently, the number of active cases is 90 and the recovery rate is 98.40 per cent, as per the release.
As on August 24, a total of 114 D-type Oxygen cylinders and two B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur, it added.
Meanwhile, COVID-19 vaccination coverage in the state has reached 31,64,575 including 2,37,585 precaution doses.
