India's single-day COVID-19 tally on Monday dropped below the 1000-mark as the country recorded 861 cases in the last 24 hours, according to the latest update by the Union Health Ministry.
With these new positive cases, India's COVID-19 tally reached 4,30,36,132 while six more deaths pushed the country's death toll to 5,21,691.
Following a continuous downward trend, India’s COVID-19 active caseload declined to 11,058, which constitute 0.03 per cent of the country's total positive cases, the Health Ministry stated.
India also recorded 929 new COVID-19 recoveries and the cumulative tally of recovered cases is 4,25,03,383. The recovery rate stands at 98.76 per cent as of Monday.
India has so far conducted 79,41,18,951 cumulative COVID-19 tests, including 2,71,211 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has reached 1,85,74,18,827 as per provisional reports till 7 am Monday. As many as 2,22,67,519 adolescents have so far been administered with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
The COVID-19 precaution dose administration for age group 18-59 years also started on Sunday, April 10, 2022 and on the first day, 9,674 precaution doses were administered, the Health Ministry added.
