India on Monday reported single-day Covid-19 count below 5000-mark at 4,362 and death toll below 100-mark at 66, according to the latest update by the Union Health Ministry.
With the report of new positive cases, the Covid-19 confirmed caseload reached 4,29,67,315, while the death toll mounted to 5,15,102 in the last 24 hours.
India's Covid-19 active caseload stood at 54,118 as of Monday. The Covid-19 active cases account for 0.13 per cent of the total confirmed cases so far, while the recovery rate currently is 98.68 per cent. The country's total number of recoveries reached 4,23,98,095 with 9,620 more recoveries reported in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 77.34 cr total tests have been conducted so far; as 6,12,926 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. Consequently, the daily positivity rate stood at 0.71 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate moved to 0.73 per cent
According to the ministry, with the administration of more than 4.80 lakh (4,80,144) vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 178.90 Cr (1,78,90,61,887) as per provisional reports till 7 am Monday.
It stated that more than 179.78 crore (1,79,78,94,320) vaccine doses have been provided to states/UTs so far through Govt. of India (free of cost channel) and through direct state procurement category. More than 15.58 Cr (15,58,42,276) balance and unutilized COVID Vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered, it added.
