India's single day COVID-19 case tally drops to 862

A total of 219.56 crore total Covid vaccine doses have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.

India on Tuesday recorded 862 new cases and 1,503 more recoveries in a span of 24 hours as per the latest updated data released by the Union Health Ministry.

Consequently, the country's COVID-19 active caseload stood at 22,549, which is 0.05 per cent of the total caseload, and recovery rate recorded was 98.76 per cent. The total recoveries reached 4,40,93,409.

The daily positivity rate stood at 1.35 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate was 1.02 per cent.

Meanwhile, 90.01 crore total tests have been conducted so far; with 63,786 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.

And, 23,791 more COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered in a span of 24 hours. Hence, 219.56 crore total vaccine doses (95 cr Second Dose and 22.03 cr Precaution Dose) have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
