India’s daily COVID-19 positive daily dropped to 8,603

India's total COVID-19 confirmed cases reached 3,46,24,360  and the death toll mounted to 4,70,530 with the report of 415 more Covid deaths.

India’s daily COVID-19 positive daily dropped to 8,603. With it, the total COVID-19 confirmed cases reached 3,46,24,360  and the death toll mounted to 4,70,530 with the report of 415 more Covid deaths, according to the latest update by the Union Home Ministry on Saturday.

Consequently, the daily positivity rate (0.69%) stood below two per cent for last 61 days, while the weekly positivity rate (0.81%) remained than one per cent for last 20 days.

India's COVID-19 active caseload stood at 99,974 as of Saturday as per the latest updates. The active cases account for less than one per cent of total cases, currently at 0.29 per cent; lowest since March 2020.

Kerala continues to have the highest COVID-19 active caseload at 45,293, followed by Maharashtra with 10,805 and Tamil Nadu with 8,098 active caseload.

Maharashtra with 1,41,149 Covid deaths reported so far remained the state with the highest Covid death toll. Dadra And Nagar Haveli And Daman And Diu has the least number of Covid deaths among all states and Union territories with four deaths.

A total of 8,190 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours that pushed total number of recoveries to 3,40,53,856. The current recovery rate stood at 98.35 per cent.

So far, 164.60 crore total have been conducted across the country and 26.53 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
