India's daily COVID-19 positive cases rise to 3,016

According to the Health Ministry, India's active caseload stood at 13,509 and active case rate was recorded at 0.03 per cent as per the latest updates.

A total of 3,016 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in a span of 24 hours, up from 2,148 cases reported on Wednesday, according to the latest updated data provided by the Health Ministry on Thursday.

According to the Health Ministry, India's active caseload stood at 13,509 and active case rate was recorded at 0.03 per cent as per the latest updates.

While the daily positivity rate rose to 2.73 per cent, the weekly positivity rate recorded was 1.71 per cent.

India also reported 1,396 new recoveries in the last 24 hours taking the number of total recoveries to 4,41,68,321.

Meanwhile, 92.14 crore total tests were conducted so far, as 1,10,522 more tests were conducted in the last 24 hours.

Also, 15,784 vaccine doses were administered in last 24 hours. With it, 220.65 crore total vaccine doses (95.20 crore second dose and 22.86 crore precaution dose) have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
