India on Thursday recorded only one COVID-19 related death while 1,007 more persons tested positive for the infection in 24 hours. According to the latest update by the Union Health Ministry, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.76 per cent as 818 patients recovered in the last 24 hours.
The cumulative tally of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country stood at 4,30,39,023, including 5,21,737 deaths and 4,25,06,228 recovered cases.
Following a continuous downward trend, India’s COVID-19 active caseload declined to 11,058, which constitutes 0.03 per cent of the country's total positive cases, the Health Ministry stated.
India has so far conducted over 83.08 cr (83,08,10,157) cumulative COVID-19 tests, including 4,34,877 COVID-19 tests conducted in the last 24 hours. the Ministry added.
The country's COVID-19 vaccination coverage has reached 1,86,22,76,304. A total of 2,36,92,551 adolescents have been administered with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and as many as 62,683 precaution doses have been administered to the age group 18-59 years, according to the ministry.
