India on Tuesday report 6,563 COVID-19 new cases, and over 138 crore vaccine doses in total have been administered across the country under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
The country’s total COVID-19 confirmed cases reached 3,47,46,838, while the death toll mounted to 4,77,554, with 132 new death cases reported in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry bulletin on Tuesday morning.
India's COVID-19 active caseload currently stands at 82,267, lowest in 572 days. The active cases account for less than one per cent of the total cases, currently at 0.24 per cent; lowest since March 2020, according to a PIB release.
The country’s Recovery Rate currently is 98.39 per cent; highest since March 2020. In all, 8,077 more recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours that pushed the total number of recoveries to 3,41,87,017.
Consequently, the daily positivity rate (0.75%) remained less than two per cent for the last 77 days, while the weekly positivity rate (0.60%) stood below less than one per cent for last 36 days.
Meanwhile, over 66.51 crore total tests have been conducted so far, the release added.
