India's daily COVID-19 cases jump to 2,183

On Monday, Kerala reported as many as 940 new COVID-19 cases and 213 deaths, while Delhi reported 517 new COVID-19 cases.

India on Monday recorded an uptrend in the daily COVID-19 cases with 2,183 cases and 214 deaths reported in 24 hours. According to the Union Health Ministry, India's daily COVID-19 positivity is 0.83 per cent while the weekly positivity rate is 0.32 per cent.

On Monday, Kerala reported as many as 940 new COVID-19 cases and 213 deaths. The national capital has also been witnessing an uptrend in the daily COVID-19 cases for the past few days. Delhi reported 517 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

The cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in India surged to 4,30,44,280 while the death toll mounted to 5,21,965.

As per the latest update by the Union Health Ministry, India’s COVID-19 active caseload is 11,542 as of Monday.

A total of 1,985 COVID-19 patients recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients is 4,25,10,773. India’s recovery rate stands at 98.76 per cent, the Health Ministry stated.

India has so far conducted as many as 83,21,04,846 cumulative COVID-19 tests, including 2,61,440 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, the Ministry added. .
