India’s cumulative COVID-19 vaccination coverage exceeds 213.91 crore

India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage on Wednesday reached 2,13,91,49,934, including 17,16,63,590 precaution doses, according to the latest update by the Union Health Ministry.

As per the update, a total of 4,05,07,953 adolescents have been administered with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

Meanwhile, India's COVID-19 tally climbed to 4,44,72,241 with the addition of 5,379 new cases in the last 24 hours. There are 50,594 active COVID-19 cases, constituting 0.11 per cent of the country's total positive cases, as on Wednesday.

The Country also reported 7,094 new recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 4,38,93,590. India’s recovery rate stands at 98.70 per cent.

While the weekly positivity rate in the country was recorded to be 2.00 per cent and the daily positivity rate is reported to be 1.67 per cent, the Health Ministry stated.

As many as 88,80,68,681 COVID-19 tests have so far been conducted in India, of which 3,21,917 tests were done in the last 24 hours.
