India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage exceeds 184.87 crore

Single-day COVID-19 tally drops below 1000-mark for the first time since April, 2020.

India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has reached 1,84,87,33,081 as per provisional reports till 7 am Thursday. The Union Health Ministry said that a total of 1,92,18,099 adolescents have been administered with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

India’s recovery rate stands at 98.76 per cent as 1,280 more patients recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients is 4,24,96,369, the Health Ministry stated in its latest update.

Following a continuous downward trend, India has 12,054 active COVID-19 cases as of Tuesday, constituting 0.03 per cent of the country's total positive cases, the Ministry said.

On Tuesday, the country recorded 795 new COVID-19 cases and 58 deaths, taking the country's cumulative tally and death toll to 4,30,29,839 and 5,21,416 respectively.

 India has so far conducted over 79,15,46,038 COVID-19 tests, 4,66,332 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, as per the Health Ministry data. .
