India’s COVID-19 recoveries surge to 91,39,901; death toll 1,40,573

As per the latest updates by the Ministry on Monday morning (8 am bulletin), 391 new death cases were reported in a single day.

A total number of 32,981 new COVID-19 positive cases has pushed India’s total Coronavirus cases to 96,77,203. The total caseload is detected from the 14,77,87,656 samples tested up to December 6. As many as 8,01,081 samples were tested on Sunday. However, 91,39,901 people infected with the virus have recovered so far, according to the latest updates by the Union Health Ministry.

As per the latest updates by the Ministry on Monday morning (8 am bulletin), 391 new death cases were reported in a single day. With it, a total of 1,40,573 patients have died of COVID-19-related illness so far.

As 91,39,901 COVID-19 patients have recovered and 1,40,573 patients have died, there are 3,96,729 active coronavirus infections in the country.

The active caseload stands at 4.10 per cent of the total caseload, while the national recovery rate moved up to 94.45 per cent and the COVID-19 fatality rate has fallen to 1.45 per cent.

Meanwhile, in Northeast India, Manipur's COVID-19 death toll crossed 300-mark and the confirmed tally surged above 26000-mark on Sunday, according to a release from the state health department.

In Arunachal, 55 COVID-19 patients have died so far while the confirmed positive cases mounted to 16,395 as 11 more people tested positive for the infection, official sources said.

Meghalaya has so far reported 12,237 confirmed COVID-19 cases while 120 patients succumbed to the illness, which rate is 0.97 per cent, the state health director Dr Aman War said.
