India’s COVID-19 active caseload surges to 11,366
India recorded 975 new COVID-19 cases and four deaths in 24 hours.

COVID-19 active caseload in India on Saturday surged to 11,366 from Friday's 11,191 as the country recorded 975 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours, according to the latest update by the Union Health Ministry.
With the addition of new COVID-19 cases, India's COVID-19 tally reached 4,30,40,947 while four more deaths pushed the country's death toll to 5,21,747.
A total of 796 more COVID-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients is 4,25,07,834. India’s recovery rate stands at 98.76 per cent as of Saturday.
India has so far conducted as many as 83,14,78,288 cumulative COVID-19 tests, including 3,00,918 tests done in the last 24 hours, the Health Ministry added.
The Health Ministry further stated that India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has reached 1,86,38,31,723 as per provisional reports till 7 am Saturday.
