India's COVID-19 active caseload stands at 1,26,620

A total of 115.23 crore vaccine doses have been administered across the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive, official sources said.

India's COVID-19 active caseload stood at 1,26,620 on Friday with the report of 11,106 new cases in the last 24 hours, according to the latest update by the Union Health Ministry.

The country’s COVID-19 Active cases account for less than one per cent of the total cases, currently at 0.37 per cent; lowest since March 2020. A total of 62.93 crore COVID tests have been conducted so far.

The daily COVID-19 positivity rate (0.98%) stood below two per cent for the last 46 days, while the weekly positivity rate (0.92%) remained less than two per cent for the last 56 days.

The recovery rate currently is 98.28 per cent, highest since March 2020. A total of 12,789 recoveries were noted in the last 24 hours that pushed the total recoveries to 3,38,97,921.

The total Covid-19 confirmed cases reached 3,44,89,623, while the death toll mounted to 4,65,082 , with 459 more deaths, as of Friday, according to the ministry's bulletin.

Meanwhile, a total of 115.23 crore vaccine doses have been administered across the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
