India's COVID-19 active caseload drops to 15,378
India reported 1,705 new recoveries on Tuesday, taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 4,24,85,534.

India continued to witness a downward trend in daily COVID-19 cases as only 1,259 new cases were reported across the country in a span of 24 hours, according to the update by the Union Health Ministry.
On Tuesday, the country reported 1,705 new recoveries, taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 4,24,85,534. WIth these, India's recovery rate stand at 98.75 per cent. Consequently, the active caseload declined to 15,378, constituting 0.04 per cent of the country's total positive cases, as per the data updated the by the Union Health Ministry at 9.46 am Tuesday.
India has so far conducted 78,79,32,913 COVID-19 tests, inlcuding 5,77,559 COVID-19 tests conducted in the last 24 hours. The cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reached 4,30,21,982 while the death toll climbed to 5,21,070 with 35 deaths in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 183.53 crore as per provisional reports till 7 am Tuesday.
