India reports two more COVID-19 deaths

India's COVID-19 death toll reached 5,30,723, with Maharashtra recording the highest at 5,30,722, as of Tuesday.

India on Tuesday reported two COVID-19 deaths, taking the cumulative death toll to 5,30,723, official sources said.

According to the latest updated data issued by the Union Health Ministry, Maharashtra and Delhi reported one death each.

So far, Maharashtra has reported 5,30,722, highest in India. The state's death ratio is 1.19 per cent. In Delhi, COVID-19 has claimed 26,522 lives as of Tuesday. The death rate is 1.32 per cent.

Meanwhile, the country has reported 121 new COVID-19 positive cases. The total umber of confirmed cases has reached 4,46,80,215.

The daily positivity rate  and the weekly positivity rate stood at 0.07 per cent and 0.11 per cent respectively. The recovery rate recorded was 98.8 per cent, as the country recorded 172 more recoveries and the total recoveries reached 4,41,47,174.

Following it, India's active caseload stood at 2,319 and the rate of active cases recorded was 0.01 per cent.

So far, 91.23 crore total tests have been conducted across the country. And, 220.14 crore total vaccine doses (95.14 crore second dose and 22.43 crore precaution dose) have been administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive, with 56,829 more doses administered in the last 24 hours.
