India recorded 937 new COVID-19 cases and nine deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said on Monday.

The number of active cases stands at 114,515 on Monday. Active cases constitute 0.3 per cent of the country's total positive cases, according to the Health Ministry website.

The death toll climbed to 5,30,509 while the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country reached 4,46,61,516.

The cumulative number of recovered cases increased to 4,41,16492 and the recovery rate is 98.78 per cent as on Monday.

Meanwhile, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has reached 219.73 crore, as per the ministry.
