India logs 4,041 new COVID-19 cases, 10 more deaths
India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 193.83 crore and over 3.42 crore first dose vaccines have been administered for age group 12-14 years.

India's COVID-19 tally on Friday surged to 4,31,68,595 with the addition of 4,041 new positive cases while 10 more deaths pushed the country's death toll to 5,24,651, according to the Union Health Ministry.
As per the latest update by the Union Health Ministry, the country also recorded 2,363 new COVID-19 recoveries. The cumulative tally of recovered cases is 4,26,22,757 and the recovery rate stands at 98.74 per cent, it stated.
Consequently, India’s active COVID-19 caseload stands at 21,177, which constitutes 0.05 per cent of the country's total positive cases.
While the country's weekly positivity rate is 0.73 per cent, the daily positivity rate is reported to be 0.95 per cent, according to the Health Ministry.
India has so far conducted 85,17,63,974 cumulative COVID-19 tests, including 4,25,379 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 193.83 crore (1,93,83,72,365) and over 3.42 crore first dose vaccines have been administered for age group 12-14 years, the Health Ministry added.
