India logs 2,706 new COVID-19 cases, 25 more deaths
India has so far conducted a total of 85,00,77,409 COVID-19 tests.

India on Monday recorded as many as 2,706 new COVID-19 cases and 25 COVID-19 related deaths, according to the Union Health Ministry. India's cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases has reached 4,31,55,749 while the death toll stood at 5,24,611.
As per the Health Ministry, India also recorded 2,070 new COVID-19 recoveries, taking the cumulative tally of recovered cases to 4,26,13,440. India’s recovery rate stands at 98.74 per cent.
Consequently, India’s active COVID-19 caseload stands at 17,698, which constitute 0.04 per cent of the country's total positive cases.
India has so far conducted a total of 85,00,77,409 COVID-19 tests, including 2,78,267 COVID-19 tests done in the last 24 hours.
The weekly positivity rate in the country currently stands at 0.58 per cent and the daily positivity rate is reported to be 0.97 per cent, the Health Ministry stated.
Meanwhile, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has reached 1,93,31,57,352 as per provisional reports till 7 am Monday.
