India on Tuesday recorded 1,876 new COVID-19 recovered cases, pushing the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 4,24,87,410. Consequently, the number of active COVID-19 cases dropped to 14,704 from Monday's 15,378, according to the latest update by the Union Health Ministry.
The recovery rate stood at 98.75 per cent, while the active cases constituted 0.03 per cent of the total positive cases.

India also reported 1,233 new positive cases and 31 deaths, taking the total tally and death toll to 4,30,23,215 and 5,21,101 respectively.

A total of 6,24,022 COVID-19 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. India has so far conducted over 78.85 cumulative tests, the ministry stated.
Meanwhile, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has reached 1,83,82,41,743 as per provisional reports till 7 am Wednesday.
